Tuscan Dawn
We were in Tuscany a couple years ago and visited a place called San Giminiano. What a magical spot! I got up veeeery early in the morning and was fortunate enough to be in the middle of this exceptionally peaceful morning. The street lights were still on in the surrounding vales and the horizon was slowly paling just before sunrise. Swathes of mist mellowed the atmosphere.
This shot has not been touched up in any way, it is straight from my Pentax istD.

A peaceful sunrise, shrouded in mist. This is just a beautiful capture, and knowing it is untouched adds to the appeal to me.
Eva and Klaus ... replied
Thank you so much Jan. I think dabbling with software is fun but deep in my heart there is nothing more satisfying than capturing a rare and beautiful moment like this one and being able to leave it just as it is.

I like so much tuscany and a trip there is always a great photographic experience… but also a great gastronomic experience :-)

Ciao Antonio! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment this image! I´m sure Tuscany would have been a better culinary experience for us, had we spoken a bit of Italian! We ended up buying ham, cheese, bread and wine in supermarkets and had picnics wherever we went. That was glorious too!
