Callington is a small rural community in South Australia 60km east of Adelaide – it has a population of approximately 325 people. The town was formed after the discovery of copper in the area in 1850 and was namd after the copper mining town Callington in Cornwall, UK. The local pub which can be seen in the distance holds one of the State’s oldest licenses and was opened in 1851.
