How delightful …. composition is just so well done … and we down under – with our barb wire and star droppers are always a little envious of white painted, and perfectly aligned fences!
Wendi Donaldson replied
What a lovely comment, Jude…thank you!! .... not sure what star droppers are?.... and why you don’t have painted fences?

Wendi star dropper are iron bars that act as light metal posts beteen the main wooden posts. It is a pretty common configuration in OZ. Cut through the”dropper” does some what resemble a star. The typical Aussie fence is unpainted beause they are not post and rail … often wire …. With our wide open space, and fences that stretch for miles.kms the cost of painted post and rail would be prohibitive. The type of fencidng is found sometimes at studs where the properties are smaller. And I lovve them!!
Wendi Donaldson replied
Sorry, missed this one….thanks for your reply Judy and great explanation. Now I understand your previous comment about the white wooden rail fences! We’re very lucky then. Thanks my dear!
