Fan Tan Alley
This is an alley, no more than 3’ wide that cuts through Chinatown.
There are neat shops at the far end.
In fact you never know WHO you might see here!
The movie Bird on a Wire was filmed in part here.

Amazing work Wendi! The perspective is really impresive, and the rich texture of the brick wall makes the end look far away, but the path far from boring… :-)
Wendi Donaldson replied
Thanks for your great comments Johanne.

Three feet isn’t very wide. Great perspective and I like the person. It shows scale.
Cool Image.

Yes, it’s very narrow….. luckily I took my super wide angle lens that day! Thanks!

Great spot. Surprised you got none of the spirits that are supposed to be running around there. I have lived in Victoria most of my life and have never gone down there with my camera. Well done. You certainly made it feel just like it does when you are walking down it.
Wendi Donaldson replied
Funny you should say that, had a woman approach me once, fairly hostile actually….about taking photos there. Didn’t realize the history – guess I need to do some research on it. Thanks! It’s an amazing spot!
