Hornet Vapor by Andreas Mueller

Small (21.9" x 16.4")

Available to buy on…

2009 NAS Oceana Airshow. Despite the overall lousy weather, I managed to get a few keepers. Here is a nice vapor burst around the 30yr Anniversary Marine F/A-18 Hornet.

WHAT?? Seriously………WHAT??? This is like the coolest fricken thing I have ever seen Andy! AMAZING! And yes I am YELLING because this is so BRILLIANT!

  • You are too funny! This is why I go to airshows, in hopes of capturing the Vapor Burst Cone. Ultimate goal is to get the true sideview of the cone, but EVERYTHING has to line up right for that.

    – Andreas Mueller

  • BTW, this happens only when the jet is flying just short of the speed of sound …. So, you can imagine the split second time you have to catch this.
