I just hate this date ... September 11, 2007 I just can’t get over how much I despise the date of Sept. 11th. Back to the "Old Country" ....… » Journal Comments Kimberly Palmer about 9 years ago Ditto…. debfuller about 9 years ago I agree. Mary Lake over 8 years ago Even though this is way after the date, unfortunately I really can’t hate it as it IS my daughters birthday. It was her 19th birthday that year. I couldn’t get a hold of her for hours. The day will live on in our hearts and memories for as long as we will be on this earth. It was distruction, and murder of mass magnatude, that NEVER should have happened. My heart and prayers are still and always will be with those who lost their loved ones that horrible day. God Bless our troops!!! L K Southward over 8 years ago Even though I am a British citizen I think we should rejoice this date. All those brave people, firefighters, troops and Emergency services who lost their lives so suddenly and unjustly. They died doing their job- saving us from the evil in this world. Look how far America has come since that day at Ground Zero- the clearup is nearly complete. They can take lives but never take freedom!! Andreas Mueller over 8 years ago Well, you don’t see a lot of behind the scences stuff. A lot of the Emergency Workers that worked on Ground Zero cleanup are now coming down with respiratory illnesses, and the US government is not stepping up to help. Some have died already, and we are not declaring them victims of 9/11 (when technically they are). L K Southward over 8 years ago That’s a real pity..I knew nothing of this. Do they know what it is? Aspestos? If that’s how you spell it :-s Andreas Mueller over 8 years ago I don’t think they really know …… But it is terrible. They are barely beginning to admit now that these illnesses are linked, since only Emergency Workers at ground zero are having the same syptoms.
