Godspeed Red Baron
A little memorial for Red Baron, my 1997 BMW K1100LT. Red Baron was taken from me 2/8/08 after a pretty serious accident. What a companion this bike has been. I joined the IronButt Association riding 1000 miles in less than 24 hours on this bike. It has taken me to many BMW rallies in numerous different states. This bike was a workhorse, I added so many accessories to really have it fit my needs. 11 gallons of fuel (note the “extra” tank on the passenger seat), GPS and several added saftey items which unfortunately did not spare him…..
This image was taken while on a roadtrip to Dayton, OH with my best friend Jim.

What’s the black box you have your right hand on ?
Andy Mueller replied
An external fuel tank that feeds my main tank upon me opening a gravity fed valve. Tank holds an additional 5 gallons of fuel.
