Never Ending Void
As we are nearing the 8th anniversary of 9/11, I wanted to post this shot of Lower Manhattan. I am a bit ashamed to say, that I have not seen the New York City skyline with the World Trade Center Towers. I can only imagine how magnificent it must have looked. We shall never forget!

Beautiful capture Andy …. the skyline seems so lost without the Twin Towers, a wonderful tribute to everything that was lost that day, the victims, the heroes and part of Manhattan’s heart … they all maybe gone, but they will always live on in our hearts. Take Care ~ Rick & Deb ~ ☺
Andy Mueller replied
I went to the most incredible museum while there, it was called the “Ground Zero Museum Workshop”. Mostly about photographs Gary Suson took during the recovery effort at Ground Zero. A highly would recommend seeing this exhibit. Very moving ….. Thank you for your kind words!
Kevin Bergen
Beautiful image, Andy! Very well processed, and a peautiful tribute. We DO remember! I have never been to NY, so I never saw the buildings, either. Thanks to you and images like this, I can be a part and pay my small tribute.

Beautiful image…..I can’t believe it has been 8 years already…..it seems like that was yesterday. We shall never forget….ever.
Andy Mueller replied
Thank you so much Shelly! 8 years, can you believe that? I was a basket case for weeks/months afterwards, but yet couldn’t pull myself away from the news broadcasts. Tomorrow I will post an image that is going to really capture the essence of that terrible day …
Peter Lessey
I will never forget. Seeing this image now gives me an empty feeling for I have seen the sky line with the towers.
Thank you Andy for keeping the truth alive.
Great work as always my friend. – Peter
Andy Mueller replied
Thank you so much Peter! I sure wished I would know the skyline with the twin towers there! I got to see “Ground Zero” while I was there, hard to imagine what happened there …. Sometimes I could still smell a faint “burnt” odor. Not sure if it was from the construction or what.
Angel Perry
Fantastic tribute Andy! I actually am lucky enough to have prints of the towers… If only I knew then…..what they would end up meaning to me. Thanks for sharing!
Andy Mueller replied
You have seen them also? You should scan in your print and post it….. Heck, we should create a Twin Tower group! For all those pictures folks surely have!

The day this happened marked a turning point in Humanity as we know it. The world will never be the same again!
Andy Mueller replied
Indeed is has! And no, the world will never be the same! It’s a shame – can only imagine how the victims’ families must dread this day. And so many rescue workers that worked in the pit now are having all of these medical conditions …. it’s terrible. Wait till you see the image I’m posting tomorrow at 10:02:14 secs (east coast time).
Paul McGuire

Andy this is absolutely stunning … extreme beauty … I’m in awe!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow will indeed be trying for us all … I’ll never forget the Today show with Matt and Katie as we all watched in horror … as shock after shock unfolded right before our eyes. But your image … Andy … let me not get bogged down with memory because this extraordinary image of yours deserves better. STUNNING photography and STUNNING post work!!!! This is your masterpiece!!!!
Andy Mueller replied
Oh my Lois, I really appreciate those kind words ….. right now, exactly 8 years ago, folks were milling about their daily lives, not realizing the horrors that would unfold. I cannot forget the images of folks jumping from the Towers. What a decision to have to make, just think about that!!!

Gee Andy. Initially I wanted to jump on the never ending void and say, yeah I’ve had those before, and yes it could fill a river that big. But having sent off images of the burning towers to all the folks on my social net with a heart felt plea for everyone to not forget,,,those who paid,,,those who are still paying,,the why’s and the responsible s. It would be wrong to joke, even now ,,,years later. I do have to ask about the image. It is class A work as always and the wide angle lens and post treatment are superb. Tags tell the tale,,Nikon SLR 12-24mm lens and a beautiful day full of clouds and wind enough for sailboats. KUDOS
Andy Mueller replied
Wow, Alex … what can I say! You pegged it! Thank you so much! Have you seen my other 9/11 tribute? It’s a bit more of a kick in the gut

Remarkable photo.
Paul (Quixote)...
The building itself was a landmark and significant in the New York landscape. I knew it well, as I worked about a quarter of a mile away and frequented in environs almost everyday. It was a city onto itself in many ways, and I was stunned when I heard that it was being destroyed in the way it was. I remember going back to New York City a few years later and could not find my bearings in the area of where the bulidings stood. It isd all incredible and tells us how volunerable we are as a people.
