American Presidents
While spending time in Arkansas, I took the opportunity to take a few photos in this abandoned home, which was littered with trash and personal belongings of Mr & Mrs Guy Card. Best viewed in Large!

EWWW Gross! But Brilliant!!!!
Andy Mueller replied
hehehehe, gross? I tried the teeth on for fit, it wasn’t that gross!
Kevin Kroeker
lol… very cool shot indeed. I like the teeth lol!
Andy Mueller replied
Yes Kevin, I had some more fun with those teeth in multiple other shots. Thanks for the visit!
Wayne Taylor
Those stamps are really old but I just can’t quite make out the year it was cancelled. Looks like a Lincoln 4 cent stamp and the other one looks like maybe a 6 cent stamp. You’re right in looking at it larger is much better. Great shot.
Andy Mueller replied
The visible cancellation is from Dec 20th, 1965. Not sure on the Roosevelt letter. I have multiple images and can probably find out.
Béla Török
Wow…that’s really cool!
Andy Mueller replied
Thank you Bela
Eva and Klaus ...
Wow Andy, how sad!
This is certainly an image that tells a tale. Very well done!
Eva
Andy Mueller replied
Thank you so much! It sure does tell a tale ….
Lois Bryan
fascinating image … wonderful rusty textures … I’m agog over your extraordinary and crisp detail!!!!
Andy Mueller replied
Thank you Lois! And I am looking up the word “agog”. Don’t believe I ever heard it, learning something new!
Kevin Bergen
Real nice job, Andy! I’d love to find something abandoned and shoot around.
Andy Mueller replied
Kevin, the conditions inside were borderline appaling …. bird feces, rat feces, mice, smell of urine and decay ….. and that was when i pulled up in my rental car …. inside it was even worse …. I would love to find an abandonded house others here did, with furniture (check out Joel Hall, he recently added a nice series here)
Leslie Wood
Very interesting shot!!
Andy Mueller replied
Thank you Leslie! It was an interesting place ….
Lois Bryan
... laughing … well, there you are … you’ve found me out. My big secret: I read too much Jane Austen!!!!! The best way to fatten up the old vocab!!!!!
Andy Mueller replied
Did you see my comment I left for Kevin Bergen? Still cracking up over that one ….
Lois Bryan
... actually, in this circumstance “atwitter” might have been more apropos, but it’s a bit harder to find in Webster’s, lol!!!!!
Andy Mueller replied
Stop it, you are killing me, hehehehe
Lois Bryan
I hear ya … “girly girl” that I am, as someone recently accused me of being, I’m hesitant to venture inside abandoned buildings thought I would DEARLY love to … but not for your aforementioned reasons. Just not sure how far my trusty bear spray would get me if accosted by the murderous machete wielding types we see all over tv news now-days. I’d need a body guard I guess, otherwise the camera shake would ruin all my best shots, lol!!!!!! Well, I’ll just have to put in a request for being a big, burly guy-type in my next life I guess??
Joel Hall
Cool shot Andy! Love this stuff
Andy Mueller replied
I know you do, the place you fond was much nicer that this place.
Scott d'Almeida
brilliant
Andy Mueller replied
Thank you always, Scott!
Michael Bermi...
LOL @ your reply to Kevin…
I agree with Joel, I love this stuff too…. Rat Urine and all.
The teeth ARE gross though dude….
:o)
Andy Mueller replied
Hey, I had to manhandle those teeth, you just had to look at them !!! Incidently I wore them for a bit, they didn’t fit too well though. Herman was with me too, so there may be some posts coming … hehehehe
palegirl
How sad, I can’t help but be moved by this what happened to them ?
Andy Mueller replied
What happened to the folks that used to live there? I have no idea, the home must have been abandoned years ago. It was littered in rat & pigeon feces and garbage and remenats of items of whomever lived there last.
