Laid Off
The economic downturn continues to make itself apparent. Couldn’t resist to take a few images of these Mannequinns that are now no longer “employed”, as the store is closing its doors. Couldn’t resist thinking about how Von McKnelly would have enjoyed stumbling upon this scene, and what images he would have taken. Captured at Dilliards, in Chesapeake, VA.

There would be many here that would gladly employ them as models, huh? I was lucky I went when I did, there was already a U-Haul backed up to the store to remove racks, shelving, tables, etc. I suspect the “models” are gone now too – sad.

Well Andy they deserve to be layed off. With no arms they can’t be defense workers (They’re unarmed.) They can’t be laid off because they’re all stuck up. It’s safe to say you won’t get any head either from this group. I love the photo, it reveals so much on different levels. Great Capture.
