I love the smell of JP-4 in the mornings. Smells, like,,,,two F-100-200 Pratt and Whitney dual spool axial flow Jet Engines hitting the third stage afterburner. Ahhhhh Bliss. Great Shot.

Love your plain shots….fighter plains are just some of the coolest things on earth…visually
Andy Mueller replied
Thank you and I have to agree with you. So, that shot was taken with the D300 & Sigma 50-500mm. The shot is entirely unedited!

That lens is just amazing….I’ve had a look at one for my canon….very big….but man what a shot…..this is one for the think box….think I would love to have a Sigma 50-500mm
Andy Mueller replied
In fact, I know you would love one (if you require that reach, and that zoom range, which I find PERFECT) for lots of images I take. Why don’t you see if you can rent one for a couple of days before committing to purchase. Not everyone is able to handhold it, I seem to do okay with it.

Wow, I can believe you can get that much clarity with a 500mm with something going that fast. Where you using a tripod? Like that it is a straight out of camera shot too. I’m kind of a purest that way… but am finding I like photoshop too.
Andy Mueller replied
Handheld Michele, with a tripod I doubt that I would be getting these, these guys are COOKING along…. I actually shot a funny sequence of a guy using a tripod …. will post it as a journal entry soon …
