Beauty & Deficit
Can’t quite remember why the US flag was at half-staff, when I took this shot back in 2007. Finally took the opportunity to work on this image of the US Capitol Building in Washington, DC. This is an HDR image, with some add’l post preocessing steps applied (light Orton effect & dodge & burn). Photo was made with a Nikon D50 and I have no idea what lens I used.

Your post-production treatment reminds of post cards from the 1940-50s. The printing had a rather surrealistic painted look.

Funny you say that, it did get a little “dicy” some minutes later, when I was attempting to take tripod mounted shots of the rear of the building. Was quickly advised that I needed to stop immediately, or else …...

This is wondeful Andy. It has a “coloured plate” feel to it….. The type that you find in old books!

Great Job. Love the visual touch-up. Looks Dream-like. Sort of like an Ideal, that we all aspire to ,,,but never reach. But the title?,,,,I’m not sure about 2007 ,,,but 2009 is more like booty and defecation. :)
