Brown Pelican Review Pass
A Brown Pelican flying right passed me at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens (not a place where one would expect to find them at all). If you view the large image, you should see that this fella has been banded in the passed). I watched him fishing for quite a while, sadly this morning he was not at the Gardens.

Fabulous,Andy,i always think of the “Spruce Goose” when i see them take off and land.
Andy Mueller replied
Oh yes, the Spruce Goose, what a huge plane that was. They are funny to watch, they almost look a bit goofy. Until they spot a fish and dive headfirst into the water. This fella got a fish every single time he dove in. Their eyesight and coordination must be just remarkable.
