Tamar Dawn
Dawn across the Tamar river on the border between Cornwall and Devon in the UK. The road bridge was opened in 1961, the rail bridge, built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, probably the best engineer of the Victorian era, was opened in 1859 and is still in daily use.
I took this shot on a cold November morning from the Cornish side of the river just as the sun was rising and didn’t realise until later that I had also captured a seagull in the frame.
