redden (detail)
Acrylic, charcoal and lacquer on canvas (detail). This is part of a much larger piece which was a work in progress for many months if not years. I was very happy with the way it turned out; in fact it evolved before my eyes literally into something quite different from what it was originally intended to be.
For that alone, I love it.
redden (detail) belongs to the following groups:
Complex Simplicity of Art, Abstract Art, All Around the Styles, Bits and Pieces , Colour Me Vibrant Red!, Creative, Talented, and Unknown, Designers United, Fine Arts, Mixed Media, Outsiders, Shameless Self-Promotion and Vibrant and Vivid Color Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

Well your labour of love is a beautiful painting wayneg,It leads my eye wandering the canvas searching, for what i dont know..there is so much movement… well done.

Thanks Varry, appreciate your comments. It certainly was very different to what I thought I would end up with – and it is so often the case with my stuff I find… I have a fairly firm idea and then a little while later, something completely different is staring back at me.

Dont you just love it when that happens? I do ! happens to me ALL the time.I guess what is meant to be… is meant to be…;-D

It’s fantastic when the art decides what its going to be for you! This is a really interesting piece. Velvety and soft with a fluid motion to it. It almost carries me out of frame, I really like that.

thanks, it’s part of a much larger piece. i keep meaning to take a photo of it in it’s entirety as I’m really quite pleased with the way it turned out (and is a rare attempt at actual painting for me). appreciate your comments!
