A ‘would-have-been’ graphic designer but now happily practising architect, I have just enough time on my hands to intermittently produce some graphic bits and pieces.

My work is informed by a range of influences, with cinema, errant office doodling, early childhood comic art and a restless imagination key drivers. I’m just on the cusp of coming to terms with the way technology can augment and possibly improve my work however I am fundamentally still grounded in the world of smudges and nibs.

Since I have very little patience, my preferred approach is to produce a piece in one concise session, preferably in as short a time as possible. Life is too short (and problematic) to have a piece half finished before going to bed.

I work in fits and bursts, sometimes producing several pieces in a week (sometimes two a night during prolific bursts) and then perhaps none for months. Such is the way of things.

Each piece informs another and so on. It is a constant and captivating adventure.
