The boardwalk is located on the shores of the Bay near the mouth of the Brisbane River (Wynnum North). Rich silts and shelter from wave action provided by the Moreton Bay Islands create ideal growing conditions for mangroves. White mangrove is the dominant species of Moreton Bay. As you walk along the boardwalk notice how plants change from small twisted shrubs and small trees to the large old and gnarled trees seen near the seaward edge of the forest.. Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
