A vintage( and grainy) shot of the Hebridean island of Iona. The abbey there is where the kings of Scotland are laid to rest. It was on this remote island that St. Columba landed in the 6th century, bringing Christianity to Scotland.

Wonderful memory: we went to visit Iona in … 1969! Thank you for this shot.

  • Thanks very much, Juergen. Glad it brought back pleasant memories. It hardly seems like twenty years since we were there

What a beautiful and peaceful looking place. Now that I read the desciption.. I can see that it would be a perfect place for Scotland to bury its kings. Lovely work! xoxo

  • Many thanks, Lori. I don’t think I have been anywhere as tranquil as this place.

What an idyllic capture ! .. My brother proposed to his now wife on the beach here…. beautiful shot of a place that holds lovely memories for us. Love it.

  • Hello Ashley. Glad you like the shot, it is a very beautiful place. Many thanks for your purchase of a card. As mentioned in the description it is a vintage and quite grainy picture but should be OK in card size. I hope you will be happy with it.
    Best wishes
    Steve
