leica IIIc c1949 has a reputation I don’t need to repeat. As my own camera, it’s a favourite; practical, foolproof and simple. While older than myself, it functions better than I do most days. And gives an insight to the downside of our electronic dependence. (I have to wonder if the idea of the Red Dot came from the Filter in the RF porthole? It would be fitting …)

It makes sense to make a still life of such a useful tool. Fitted here with the Russian LZOS Jupiter 12, which is a later clone of the Carl Zeiss Jena Biogon 35mm wide angle. A very practical street lens.
