Film Cameras retrofit to Digital

D I G I P O D
The “Digipod” is simply a digital 35mm film cartridge, that once adjusted, will fit most still SLR cameras

The idea of the DIGIPOD isn’t new. It was attempted before, but the technology of the time didn’t lend to a success. Now in 2013 there is a degree of miniaturisation regarding, battery, memory, and the other aspects needed to make a digital sensor shaped to fit inside your Film SLR or other 35mm film camera.

This is a current Crowd-Funding project, one that might interest anyone with an old film camera that they don’t use as much as they once did as the choices of film stock, places to develop and other roadblocks are harnessed by the simple fact that the digital process has replaced the film and is making it more and more anachronistic.

RB Home Page featured work archive

I’m not always the best advocate at the self-promotion aspect, but I just took the trouble to see how many Red Bubble Home Page Features I’ve accumulated, and so decided to create this list. If I can do it again in the future, I can add them in. Personally I had forgotten about the older ones, and may have missed one? They didn’t really track them 3 years ago, so the links were self-made screen grabs, and now with the new Found format, I’m back to screen grabs!

new Olympus OM-D/e-M5 model released (OM5)

Changing my original post to match the events, as the release of the Olympus OM-D e-M5 is no longer rumour, it’s now official. nice to see that all the rumours were accurate and not faked images …

Here are a couple of reviews with plenty of content and images. Also a walk-through video that doesn’t include the unboxing of a camera!

original post

Having an affinity toward Olympus has been tough in the last few years. The most recent news and reports of the corruption scandal really has made a low point. The stock value of Olympus is so low

only a matter of time

Today I noted a photo of mine was accepted in a group. Nothing unusual in that, but noticed that the image was older and so looked it up and found that I’d submitted this back in September 2009. .. Noted it had been accepted 6 hours ago. I guess it was no surprise that the group in question was Long & Timed Exposures just maybe a bit too literal for me.

Mandellbrot Brush Set No.2

I have added an additional brushes set for download, Mandelbrot Brush Set No.2 which is a companion set to the original. Again, a fractal brush set based on the mandelbrot set. This set is particularly good for making vegetation, plants, undergrowth, mould, lichen, and other build up effects and terrains … as well as spiral effects, a more conventional brush with a twist! Both sets compliment each other and work well and play together ..

download it here, and find many more brushes and textures, &tc.

Mandelbrot Brush Set No.1

I invite all fellow redbubble photoshoppers to download my custom, Mandelbrot Brush Set No.1 which is a fractal brush set based on the mandelbrot set. It is a basic concept, but gives you a couple-dozen-plus brushes that are excellent for random background work. Whether you are out to make something, fuzzy, feather, fizzy, as long as it has a LOT of surface area, this is the brush set to do it with … great for grunge, splatter, splat, textures, and terrains:
