Step by step tutorial.... Stage..5 by

Am working on some details now…This is where i start sharpening up different areas….
I use a carbon pencil for very deep blacks…
And Carbon Black Acrylic paint….
I am brushing over and mixing the paint with the charcoal and carbon….The acrylic is thinned heavily with clean water…By glazing and blending, all mediums react beautifully with each other….I am a stand -up artist so my hands do not need to rest on the canvas…This prevents any unwanted smudging…
Painting and drawing while your hand is not supported takes practice…and patience….

  • Hi lovely Liz..Thanx for following..
I keep glazing with the acrylic until I feel tones and contrasts are at a nice balance…I just keep the washes thin..This gives me complete control….xx
