In the 1990’s photography for me was about SLR’s & dark rooms, it was about printing your shots at 3-6am to ‘beat the light’ in you homemade darkroom to get your shots to press. I worked in music, hair and a little news, but love portraiture. Now I use a digital slr, but try to replicate shot control like in the old film days. I now longer make my living out of photography, but prefer to better my life by embracing a passion ;)

THis is a terrific image Mark it’s so lifelike,

    A mouthwatering picture.

  • thanks Malcolm, much appreciated!! I thought I should try some new things, one of my first HDR’s, 14 frames blended, I’m doing them manually in Gimp (GNU Image Manipulation Program) before I use the ‘auto HDR’ in Photoshop. I find working out how to do something the hardway first gives you a better grasp of what’s actually happening before you just ‘press buttons’ with the ‘auto’ blends. So far so good, although some of our Fuji group colleagues are masters at this stuff.
