It was 40 degrees celcius when I took this, every creature from dogs to horses to humans were lathered in sweat – ended being useful for some tone experimentation.

In the 1990’s photography for me was about SLR’s & dark rooms, it was about printing your shots at 3-6am to ‘beat the light’ in you homemade darkroom to get your shots to press. I worked in music, hair and a little news, but love portraiture. Now I use a digital slr, but try to replicate shot control like in the old film days. I now longer make my living out of photography, but prefer to better my life by embracing a passion ;)

Such a beautiful capture Mark – Love it :))

  • thank you Gail, one of my favs actually, she’s a beautiful horse too, very lovely nature, a rescue from a flood, was left homeless, with a heap of barbwire wounds, but now you would hardly know. Believe it or not, she was 19 years old when I took this pic, and she is 20 now, but she looks about 14/15.
