Before the Brisbane real estate boom there were many old building near the river, around the back of New Farm, just near Paddy’s Markets – unfortunately ‘progress’ took most of them.

building, new farm, brick, brisbane, perspective

In the 1990’s photography for me was about SLR’s & dark rooms, it was about printing your shots at 3-6am to ‘beat the light’ in you homemade darkroom to get your shots to press. I worked in music, hair and a little news, but love portraiture. Now I use a digital slr, but try to replicate shot control like in the old film days. I now longer make my living out of photography, but prefer to better my life by embracing a passion ;)

The old woolshed area? Glad you got a capture of the old look.

  • yeah most certainly is – I’ve got a few more – just got to go through them – it was so beautiful in a ‘Brisbane past’ sort of way

An unremarkable building in some ways but worth keeping and what a shot – deep blacks and detail where it matters; a gorgeous bw.
