Shilah and Lucy – itching that scratch :)

In the 1990’s photography for me was about SLR’s & dark rooms, it was about printing your shots at 3-6am to ‘beat the light’ in you homemade darkroom to get your shots to press. I worked in music, hair and a little news, but love portraiture. Now I use a digital slr, but try to replicate shot control like in the old film days. I now longer make my living out of photography, but prefer to better my life by embracing a passion ;)

Gorgeous piece Marky. Love the textures in this and black blacks and white whites….

  • yes – good spectrum of tones – and I love the fact you can ‘just’ see Shilahs teeth as he quibbles his nose ;) I think the lines and balance of the shot also work – but heck I"m biased ;)

    Beautiful capture, Mark

  • thanks Lucinda, the old boy in the shot is my old horse – he’s 26 now but always makes a point of making the youngest mare his nuzzling buddy (as I call ‘em – typical male though). He’s a most beautiful soul, funnily enough the horse he’s nuzzling here is ‘Lucy’, my Grandma’s name was Lucy Lucinda, – I’m a sucker for a name sake ;) take care :)
