A wild cockatoo dropping in for a free feed. We have many birds in our area, but this guy and his mate are something else ;)

In the 1990’s photography for me was about SLR’s & dark rooms, it was about printing your shots at 3-6am to ‘beat the light’ in you homemade darkroom to get your shots to press. I worked in music, hair and a little news, but love portraiture. Now I use a digital slr, but try to replicate shot control like in the old film days. I now longer make my living out of photography, but prefer to better my life by embracing a passion ;)

Great neighbour to have Marky! A wonderful shot!

  • thanks Jordan – a pair of them have moved into the area, and drop up for some seed – so much bigger than you imagine – funnily the rainbow lorikeets boss them around ;)

    Awesome capture love the mono.

  • I’ve been addicted to black and white for about 25 years now – every so often I shoot in colour just to remind my self. The Cockatoos are incredible birds – you never think how big they are till they are close :)
