The two halves of a log, their texture and color was just too nice to put in the fire. I’ve seen many faces and animals in there, but the texture is hauntingly beautiful – an ancient pattern.

log, wood, split log, nature, fire

In the 1990’s photography for me was about SLR’s & dark rooms, it was about printing your shots at 3-6am to ‘beat the light’ in you homemade darkroom to get your shots to press. I worked in music, hair and a little news, but love portraiture. Now I use a digital slr, but try to replicate shot control like in the old film days. I now longer make my living out of photography, but prefer to better my life by embracing a passion ;)
