‘Home and Tea’

A pair of Spitfires start the return from combat patrol during 1940. With the last of the daylight the threat of Luftwaffe intrusion has gone and the Squadrons can recover their aircraft. With a gentle wing-over the Spitfires lose height into the landing pattern and the classic comment over the RT – ‘Well done, home and tea’ – to be ready for the same scenario early the next day.
