This is one of my all time favourite photographs so I thought I would share it. It was taken on a point and shoot about 3 years ago so is only available for greeting cards or small prints as the resolution is not high enough for larger prints.
The image depicts the beautiful lighthouse situated on Griffiths Island in Port Fairy, Victoria.
The flowers in the foreground of this photo have a story of their own. The bulbs of the irises were planted by the first lighthouse keepers in the garden of the long since ruined keepers house. All that remains of the house is a portion of the garden. The iris bulbs come up every spring as a reminder of what once was.
