White Flowering Eucalypt

White Flowering Eucalypt

This white flowering Eucalypt caught my eye. It was actually in a carpark and our car was parked under it. I love how my interest in photography invokes me to notice these things that others walk on by. It allows me to see the beauty in the world around me.

Beautiful, those flowers are so delicate and so crisp they are whiter than white. Nature really does design so well!
    Lovely DOF Gayle.

Thanks Noelene, lol, yes I do the framing myself using photoshop. It really is a brilliant program and I just scrape the surface of the things you can do with it.

Thanks Colin, I haven’t even enhanced the white, it really was that white, very striking, it jumped out at me to photograph it.

I notice that they grow Euclyptus here in Arizona too. Apparently Arizona has a climate that is similar to the Australian outback.
    Good contrast and composition.

A camera does indeed teach us to appreciate the things that most take for granted. :) This is a beautiful capture of these lovely and delicate flowers.

Hi Gayle. Beautiful lighting and the colour and depth-of-field are perfect. I wonder if you mightn’t get an even stronger image if you crop off the the extra detail on the right – and a bit off the top and bottom? Just a thought :)

Hi Dieter, thanks for your comments. I can’t bring myself to crop this image as I love the pendulum style leaves and gumnuts, it forms an equal part of the entire tree. There are so many features to these beautiful trees, to crop would lose some of those qualities. Just gives a wonderful Aussie feeling for me.
