Stay Back!
I was photographing this variable oyster catcher and his mate the Abel Tasman National Park in New Zealand when he took offense and started to advance on me. I took a few more shots then left him alone.

Yes it is . It is called “Face off with a goose” . I wasn’t sure if the thing would attack me or what. But it got close, probably just wanted some bread cubes.

yikes! it looks demonic with those red eyes. funnily enough i headed down to the beach this morning to try and catch one of these as i see them there every day, but today – none. typical! this is a great shot well done
