no the floor is a black glass, in order to preserve the original floor and keep people from walking on it.

I am not sure if you can take picture inside the exhibition, but even it is a long shot, I can tell your them. That is a powerful impact!

This was the culminating photo for a photo essay I did for the Auschwitz Jewish Center in NYC. No one ever once stopped me from taking pictures, and I took a few thousand.

I spent time there a few years back, have never posted Auschwitz photo’s on Redbubble.
My late mother & father in law were there as well as being in 3-4 other concentration camps, they were lucky to survive but lost their three year old little boy on the first day they arrived at that evil place.

My mother was in a camp too and my family was in the middle of the war. This photo is amazing. So many lives, families, generations. How many talented people were lost. How many souls extinguished. And the world is still killing each other.

I got the chance to visit Auschwitz in April of 2004. It was a very powerful and sad place. Because of that visit, I came home and took a class on Nazis and the Holocaust. It is my favorite part of history to study now, World War II Nazi Germany. Very powerful and well composed shot!

Powerful, heart-wrenching message so effectively delivered! Six million lives lost and we all suffer as a result. Now we must address the present holocaust, 50 million babies aborted since 1973 in the U.S. alone. Where are their photos? Rosemary Scott commented that we must never forget, but sadly we have forgotten and the slaughter continues. When will humanity be humane? Maybe, in some measure, when more people like you use their skills in photojournalism to jolt us into the reality of a need for change!

i never saw this. it’s so sad, the photos of all those victims. great shot to remind us how precious life is and how evil satan is…..he destroys us because we are made in christ’s image and satan has a hatred for God that humans will never fully comprehend. when satan see us he sees God.
