So quiet I hear only my breath.
Is this what it’s like at the moment of death?
I can’t run away; I have to stay and do the time.
Solitude and quietness are not always sublime.
Time to think, to face fears, regrets, wrong turns,
Nothing can be undone; but one still learns.
When all is quiet and one is alone,
Forgiveness can come when you think it is forever gone.

Walela

I love the sound of a distant train whistle, the sound of rain on fallen leaves, the sound of a whippoorwill, a crackling fire, a walk in the fog, cooing doves, clouds…..and ice cream.
