I just had a thought the other day….and went with it. Here is the outcome.
I took one of my never used wine glasses, (since I don’t like wine)….and put some crangrape juice in it to represent wine….then I found the holy communion bread via a Catholic website…..collaborated them together. Then on Sunday, Oct 26, 2008….something came to me….I wanted to add a piece of “me” to the picture, besides the spilt “wine”. I googled some pics of crosses with rosary beads….I found a picture that looks similiar to this one, but with more detail. I drew it freehanded, while looking at the photo. I am VERY PROUD of this, because I have not drawn anything since I was in art class in High School. I used to love to draw, and then just ventured away from it. I guess God spoke loudly enough to me yesterday….I drew something again.
I just drew it with a regular #2 pencil, and then colored the Rosary pink with Kloe’s pink map pencil, and the cross blue with the navy blue map pencil. I scrapped the blue off with my fingernail, because it was too dark….and this is what it came out to look like.
I hope you all enjoy it. Be honest please, as I’ve never done a portrait of this magnitude. I had to piece them all together.
