His Velvet Hands by Sally Omar
His touch was velvet
Eyes that glistened
He hung on every word
A man who listened
A flower in his lapel
A hat a little tilted
He loved so strong
Yet love wilted

Like weeds bowing
In a breeze
Love came
With fervor and ease
Love turned to desire
Eyes meeting eyes
Hands touching hands
Never would they say goodbye

It happened in a moment
The breeze changed course
Love waned
And was somehow lost
His Velvet Touch
Pulled away
Lost somewhere
Sad days

Like Weeds
Bowing in a breeze
Love lost
Perhaps love was just a tease
Where would he go from here
Disappointed by a love
That went no where
His Velvet Hands at his sides
He walked away
So sad his stride
