In India – only Jaipur. I must admit that I was not prepared for the shock of “desperation”. I’ve been to just over 30 countries (mostly off-the-beaten-track places) , but have never experienced a place so far removed from what I’ve experienced before. Maybe it is because I like going to the back-streets and mostly avoid tourist sites. Pakistan is also a similar desperate place.
