Cassie is one of my original Prairie Doll creations that combine my art with my sewing. I designed the pattern for the doll along with all of her wardrobe.

I owe my love of art to my mother who was an artist & teacher & I began painting at a very early age. After graduating Auburn U, I moved to Atlanta, GA where I was a member of the South Cobb Arts Alliance & attended many local art shows. After living in the Atlanta area for a number of years, I have moved back to my roots in rural Alabama. Art gives me joy not only in creating a painting but also in sharing it with others.
I also have a Zazzle store at:

So clever, Vivian! Did any child have the delight of having this doll?

I still have this doll, in fact, I’ve got a box of dolls that I made before I moved here. This pattern is one of my favorites! I’ve thought about trying to sell them on Etsy or some place like that, but I’m still a bit intimidated by the idea of venturing further out into the unknown waters of internet computer land. However, I’m kinda gettin’ the idea I just ought to jump on in and have a go at it. I need to set up my sewing tables & get organized. I’ve even made a little progress in that direction.

all your dolls look wonderful Vivian I’m sure you can sell some of them dalls.. ( If you know how maybe you should try Ebay.. or maybe some store would buy it from you and resell ..

  • I used to sell them thru a gift shop as well as art/craft shows before I moved here. However, after the shop took their share or after the expense of the craft fair entry fee was figured in, I didn’t make much per doll especially considering how much time I put into them. It can be better than ten hours per doll and that’s after I get my speed up. I’ve thought about ETSY and I’d need a pay pal account and I’ll need to figure out how to do that.
