Tess, Faithful Friend by Vivian Eagleson

Currently unavailable for purchase

Put out on the side of the road near my driveway on a cold Feb. day in 2005, she sat there looking at every car that went by hoping that her “family” would return for her. After hours of waiting in vain, she finally let me take her to the house. She quickly made friends with my other two puppies that I had adopted from a shelter. Happiness and hope filled her once sad puppy eyes as she was now truly home at last.
Photo made with a Panasonic camera in north Alabama.

I owe my love of art to my mother who was an artist & teacher & I began painting at a very early age. After graduating Auburn U, I moved to Atlanta, GA where I was a member of the South Cobb Arts Alliance & attended many local art shows. After living in the Atlanta area for a number of years, I have moved back to my roots in rural Alabama. Art gives me joy not only in creating a painting but also in sharing it with others.
I also have a Zazzle store at: http://www.zazzle.com/vseoriginals

What a sad story with a happy ending. I bet she has the best home any dog could wish for! I have a yellow lab and they are such a beautiful breed. I can’t imagine why anyone would abandon their pets. It sounds like you have a big beautiful heart!

How can people be so cruel? Tess is so very lucky that you passed by that day. Hope she has become a faithful friend to you and her new family. She looks so content here, which I’m sure she is…
