Mia Discovers the Computer by Vivian Eagleson

Available to buy on…

Mia, my new kitten, has now discovered the computer. She has already learned how to click the mouse and make it move around and she’s especially good at using the keyboard with her little paws. Mia has even turned the computer off all by herself. Isn’t she the smart one!

I owe my love of art to my mother who was an artist & teacher & I began painting at a very early age. After graduating Auburn U, I moved to Atlanta, GA where I was a member of the South Cobb Arts Alliance & attended many local art shows. After living in the Atlanta area for a number of years, I have moved back to my roots in rural Alabama. Art gives me joy not only in creating a painting but also in sharing it with others.
I also have a Zazzle store at: http://www.zazzle.com/vseoriginals

Lovely portrait of smart little Mia…so lucky you found her!

  • Thanks, Pam. I’ve had a difficult time with getting good pics of her as her face doesn’t show up well. When I found her, I walked to the house carrying her in my arms and I could feel her trembling the whole way like she was afraid. However, that’s past history and she’s now running around the house like kittens are supposed to do.

Mia is looking good, Vivian! Looks like she’s guarding the “mouse”!

  • Mia has adjusted very quickly. She seems to find the computer desk and all that’s on it very entertaining!

It’s so nice to see her picture, Vivian. Kellie is doing the same thing but also playing with the wires, so I went to Office Max and got a big carton which I cut open and made into my own cubicle to keep him out!

  • Good idea! I may have to do this. Whatever I’m doing, Mia wants to help with her little busy paws. I took her to the vet today for vacs, and he said she’s about 14 weeks old and has some permanent teeth coming in. She can be spayed on her next vaccination visit in 3 weeks and then she’ll be all fixed up!

Here’s a photo of my “cubicle” – it was supposed to be a 20×20 shipping box. http://cbrundage.net/cubicle.jpg

  • I looked at your homemade cubical. It’s looks so nice and it’s so neatly made, too. However, I don’t think anything would stop this kitten. She’s invincible! Maybe I could try re-inforced cinder blocks and cement. Hmm…..

Wonderful shot, Vivian . . . they are so clever when it comes to computers. One of ours liked to sit on Mike’s lap, then reach out and tap a key when he least expected it . . . creating all sorts of interesting problems . . . LOL

  • Kitties must think that computers are some sort of toy. Mia also likes to get on tables and just push everything off onto the floor. The fun just never ends!
