The original portrait of Lennon is long lost under layers of new paint. Even when the wall was repainted by some authorities, it was again full of poems and flowers the following day. Today, the wall represents a symbol of youth ideals such as love and peace.

In loving Memory of Stiddy, who passed away today 11th August 2009. Aged 93 years.

    This was an image that I knew belonged on RB the moment I learnt of the significance. The Czech students would exclaim ” you have your Lennin , let us have our Lennon” as a protest against communist rule over 20 years ago!
