Noise & Color Distortion 101

Basic Cropping 101
Rule number one is to know the rules and then break the hell out of them.
Before shooting anything I need to know what my final output is going to be. For example if I’m shooting a model’s portfolio I know it needs to be a 9X12 inch print. If I crop to close in camera I’ll lose part of the image so backing off a bit gives me the room to crop it down to the proper size.

What The Hell Is The Zone System 101
I recently left a comment on a B&W image complementing on the use of the zone system and was asked “what’s a zone system?”
So I went out yesterday and shot a B&W to show the basic idea behind the zone thingy.
