I eat tomatoes like apples anytime anywhere…. especially the plum tomatoes.
Corn has no nutritional value but oh my does it taste so good!

Not being the squash expert I have no idea what kind it is. I can tell you that it’s wonderful in my stir fry. :-}
I shot this outside instead of the studio…seemed like the thing to do with this freshness.

I love fresh produce like this. My tomato crop should be fantastic this year, Zucchini is doing well and will have tons of peppers (from Bell, to Chili, to Banana). I’m currently trapping and relocating Squirrels that like to take a bite out of a green mater and then discard it …. Makes me mad …. Great shot Von.

Damn tree rats…cute but can be a thorn in a gardens side.
I’ll trade you some tomatoes for chili peppers! I only have two chili plants and six tomato plants myself…hope they make it. lol

Sounds like you’ve been busy? I’ve been pretty busy too so haven’t been on much lately :(. Going to the fair ground tonight with missy, and then back tomorrow to watch and photograph the pig races and gator wrestling .. hee hee thats gonna be fun!
yep I make pickles every year :)chinese cherries are ready so will be making jelly this weekend.. yumm!

this summer it was corn,squash,cucumbers,tomatoes,apples and eggs! I didn’t even have to plant one seed or buy one hen!! I love the neighborhood gardens:) I love veggies!! apple pie and the eggs come in handy for baking. What a bountiful selection here von, great colors too!

Last night I cooked a roast beef that would have been killer with those veggies!!
I love farm fresh – I’m lucky enough to have a few local farms who sell direct to the public. The taste and quality is distinctive!
