    roybarry

I must say that I am beginning to understand the concept, Von. The meaning of life is making itself known to me too!

  • Von McKnelly replied

Do not try to bend the spoon; that’s impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth.

    There is no spoon.

Then you will see, it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

    Very nice period piece.

  • Von McKnelly replied

I give a lot of credit to the young ladies for doing such a smashing job of following directions.
The lighting was a nightmare since there wasn’t any electricity (5 miles of extension cord) and I was losing the natural window light. But it all came together in the end.
    Thanks Levi!

  • Von McKnelly replied

Your comment has the word “wonderful” in it twice and it made me think of the Tigger song….

    The wonderful thing about Tiggers
    Is Tiggers are wonderful things.
Their tops are made of rubbers
The bottoms are made of springs.
    They’re
    Bouncy,
    Flouncy,
    Trouncy,
    Pouncy,
    Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!!!

    The wonderful thing about Tiggers
    Is I’m the only one

  • Andy Mueller

    Andy Mueller

Awesome work, truly fantastic. I am trying to figure it all out, especially the reflection the mirror. Looks almost there should be a third Lady here, whose back we can see. Love the inclusion of your guitar and rather stylish hat of yours.

  • Von McKnelly replied

Yes I can say I did plan this one for a visual feast for the eyes. There was other people standing around and I did think about getting their reflection in a shot but to much of a good thing is sometimes not so good.
Thanks for the notice of all the props Andy.

To travel back in time and find not one but two very pretty girls, whatever application you use is very practical. Should be applauded, actually. A letter to the editor. And stop bending my Pee Wee Herman spoon.

  • Von McKnelly replied

You have quite the attachment for your spoon huh Syd…well remember “there is no spoon”. lol
I watch way to much science channel and o/c the sci-fi channel. keeps me level headed. (that last part was a pun)

  • Maxoperandi

    Maxoperandi

I have been sitting looking at this image for along time now….it is a festival of photography. You are right…as you have told me on numerous occassions..there are no rules…but all the elements are here in this image, but quite naturally. The thirds principle…golden mean…the lead in perspective…the perfect balance of light and dark tone. And don’t get me started on the optimum positioning and posing of the models set against the angle of the mirrors. This image belongs in a book of masters of the photographic art…I might even buy this next week!

  • Von McKnelly replied

I’m going to keep your comment in a very safe place for ever and ever Max.
You’ve seen what I haven’t in this work. Guess I’ve been doing it long enough I was bound to get lucky sooner or later.
