Luv the blues – Luv the brass. Here’s a verse from one of my all time fave tunes.

From a whippoorwill, out on a hill,

Just wonderful, Von. I love the quote, too, from John Lee Hooker. I have been a blues lover for most of my life, since I was in my teens for sure. My very first blues album was a vinyl recording by John Lee Hooker. Your photo is simple and iconic. I love it.

I have never seen a trumpet with what I assume is a rotary valve setup on the third valve slide. Bizaar! Nice photo too.
