Luv the blues – Luv the brass. Here’s a verse from one of my all time fave tunes.

From a whippoorwill, out on a hill,
    They took a new note,
    Pushed it through a horn
    til it was born,
    into a new note.
And then they nursed it, rehearsed it,
    And gave out the news
That the southland gave birth to the blues.

  • Von McKnelly replied

The blues were never born…it has existed before the dawn of time.

Sorry but Blues ain’t the blues unless its Miles Davis Send “Miles Davis – It Never Entered My Mind” Ringtones to your Cell
    Artist/Band: Runaway Bride soundtrack
    Album: Runaway Bride

Once I laughed when I heard you saying
    That I’d be playing solitaire
    Uneasy in my easy chair
    It never entered my mind
And once you told me I was mistaken
That I’d awaken with the sun
And ordered orange juice for one
    It never entered my mind
You had what I lack, myself
Now I even have to scratch my back myself
Once you warned me that if you scorned me
I’d say a lonely prayer again
And wish that you were there again
To get into my hair again
    It never entered my mind
Once you warned me that if you scorned me
I’d say a lonely prayer again
And wish that you were there again
To get into my hair again
    It never entered my mind
