You have a way with your subjects that for sure! Great expression, great shot. :o) I raised two boys, yup they are definitely trying something dubious most of the time. One of the funniest things they did was get into my home waxing kit when they were teenagers sprouting chest hair….........

Norman Rockwell would love this, a little slice of life brought to the forefront, something to make us smile and make us happy that we belong to the human family. I have a five year old grandson so this really speaks to me!

It’s masterful Von. You’ve done here what is difficult to do so often in photography and that is to create something with a combination of technical expertise, artistic merit and humour. It’s a wonderful piece. I notice Barb had the same reaction I did….that it has the Norman Rockwell sensibility of the all-American kid with his Louisville mitt and plaid shirt and, of course, his enormously humourous expression. The impact of that is obvious from all the comments this has generated. Gracious, the details are all so perfect in this….the slightly rumpled shirt, the scab on his little finger, fingernails that look like a boy….each detail contributes so much to the overall picture.

I know I sound very serious when your subject is so humourous but Von, I think you’ve created something that has the potential of being iconic. It’s really quite an extraordinary work.
