I love this Von this would make a fabulous painting , do you paint ? I love the rustic feel to it , a really nice shot . Go to the top of the class and collect your gold star. :=))
I would really like to have a go at painting this , would you mind ,? I don’t know when, I lead such a busy life ,I don’t know when I will have the time . But I would try and find some time in the near future , I haven’t painted for ages but this picture has inspired me to get the brushesout again .
Sorry no can do , not this week anyway ,prior engagements I am afraid maybe next week . Of course you will get the credits it’s your picture , so long as you don’t sue if you don’t like it , I know you Americans you would sue your own granny . :=))
I’ve had the worst week ever shooting and this just fell in my lap so to speak. Sometimes I need to stop fighting trying to get a shot and go with the flow and let it happen…if you know what I mean? Thanks Brad!!
Thanks Charlotte….makes me wonder how many subjects one passes that could be a great shot but miss it all together. I’m keeping my eyes open and thinking differently from now on.
Hey Von i’m running out of compliments here lol…. a lot to glean from this image…..the lighting, the framing, the clarity, the subject, the atmosphere, the questions..what happened to the lonely one, who broke his heart or does he just enjoy solitude…...all comes together to form a great image! ps is the plaster work in the background painted onto the wall or is it real?
Von, This is one of my favorites. Wonderful composition. I used to play the guitar as well and that was a time of solitude. It can carry you away from everything. Wow!!! Love this.
Wow…... what a great image… I would love to be there right now….. (tea instead of the crown though) and I would also have to build up my calluses again it’s been so long since I played…... beautiful still life Von!! You done goood!!
I know right! Starting again is a pain in the fingers but it’s like riding a bicycle or kissing once you know how….you can get hurt sure but love the pain all the same! (rambling) lol
That lighting, textured walls, table, floorboards, everything about this just oozes class and that number 15 has me very intrigued actually. Really lovely work.
Such a great shot Von (no, not the glass). You do so many different things, so very well. And by the way, I think I’ve sat there many times, played that guitar and ,for sure, emptied that bottle! Thanks for the memories….(Andi walks off singing)
whoa…..what a jaw dropper. This is another of your art gallery worthy images. I swear this would be so wonderful in poster format….bigger than life and inviting. I’ll hang around and listen to the guitar solos that come from here – it would be a nice place to soak up the music!!
Looks like I’m just one of a long string of admirers on this shot. I love how it draws your eye in from the bottle and table to the guitar to the empty chair. Well done!
A friend had left it a few days before and after I was done shooting I couldn’t very well pour it back in the bottle…so I drank it! (not all just what was in the glass and a little more)
