Another upload from my day birdwatching on Walney Island,Cumbria.I found a high tide roost of Knot, a medium sized wader and always a joy to watch. In winter plumage at a distance they are hard to see amongst the beach pebbles.
Indeed,I didn’t realise how many were in shot until I processed the image, shot with a Sony A350 DSLR and Sigma 150-500 zoom (handheld) .

In the words (?) of the immortal Alastair Sim. hahaha, heeheeheehee, hohohohohoho. Many things come to mind, not least of which is Hamlet’s soliloquy, but we’ll let that unravel in its own time. Another alternate title ~ The Untied Kingdom. Bah, humbug, you say. Why does this woman go on so? Well, all this is in aid of my basic comment which is This Is A Terrific Shot! I love these sweeties in camouflage mode. I can see why their numbers were obscured by their numbers.

  •’ll do then?
