Taken on my visit to Wester Ross,NW Scotland, in September 2012.
We drove around Upper Loch Torridon to the lovely village of Shieldaig. We walked on the Shieldaig Peninsula that juts out between Upper Loch Torridon and Loch Shieldaig at the point they meet Loch Torridon. We weren’t sure about the weather but I assured Mrs VR it wouldn’t rain. Halfway along the peninsula was this view across Upper Loch Torridon to the Torridonian mountains of Beinn Alligin,Beinn Dearg and Liathach, looking up Coire Mhic Nobuil between the latter two mountains to Ruadh-stac Mhor on Beinn Eighe
This shot was taken at 12.30 p.m. And hour and a half later on the return journey,I got the shot below.I’m glad to say the rain didn’t materialise,as promised. The sun shines on the righteous.
