The Britannia Inn at Elterwater in the English Lake District. Taken early morning on the 27th March 2012,before the pub was open. On a sunny day,the pub tables and area under the tree will be full of thirsty hikers and general layabouts just soaking up the atmosphere and several pints of what keeps England going. This early it was just a Bedlington Terrier nosing about and probably wetting the grass.

Are you waiting for the pub to open ? Profitez bien du soleil, c’est si rare chez vous MDR. Actually in our region it’s overdose of sun LOL. Why I don’t see Tarn nearby the dog ? :))

  • She was watching Alex behind me..he had some doggy treats and she didn’t want to leave him…..hahahaha

A real beauty Jamie – a typical lakeland scene. Ah memories…. I have to confess that in my past life I spent a couple of happy hours sitting at those tables with a pint pot in my hand!

  • I use diesel, it’s about £1.48 a litre.(Unleaded petrol is slightly cheaper) That’s about £6.73 a gallon (Imperial) which is 1.2 US Gallons. So that’s about £5.60 a US gallon which is roughly $9.00 so it’s not as bad as you would think. When I fill the tank,it is about £90.00 ($145.00).Hope I sell some more pics soon.
