The Drunken Duck is an Inn at Barngates near Ambleside in the English Lake District.Smack bang in the middle of nowhere…great food,beer and views.This is from the beer garden (as such) towards the range of hills known as The Fairfield Horseshoe and to the right Red Screes above the village of Ambleside (which is at the northern end of Windermere Lake.

    This is the view from the Drunken Duck before you go in? I suspect it runs the risk of being a little more fuzzy by the time you are ready to leave lol!

    Walks like a drunken duck, talks like a drunken duck… sorry. I am not sorry about this spectacular view, though. Any drunken duck worth his salt would stay sober to take this in. And remember, one of Joan’s guests at Park was sure this was Am BLESS i dee. Must’ve spent too much time at the Duck…. Amble on.
